Security and safety are paramount in Otter Creek.  We believe awareness, education and involvement are the keys to safety and security for you and your family.  Interested homeowners and volunteers regularly meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the clubhouse to discuss factors that promote and maintain the safety and well being of our community. For details, feel free to contact the office at 455-2500.
 
The Little Rock Police Department ranks Otter Creek as one of the safest communities in the metropolitan area.  Our two entrances and exits, video cameras, street lighting and concerned residents contribute to this top ranking.
 
Even though Otter Creek has an extremely low crime rate, we are not exempt from occassional unlawful activity.  As residents, here are a few ways we can protect our neighborhood from unwanted activity:
 
  • Participate in our neighborhood crime watch group
  • Get to know your neighbors
  • Install an alarm system
  • Keep your garage door closed at all times
  • Use outdoor night lighting
  • Keep your car doors locked and remove garage door openers from your vehicles
  • Keep landscaping trimmed away from doors and windows
  • Report any suspicious activity to LRPD immediately by calling 911
  • Don't let newspapers pile up on your front porch
  • Have a neighbor collect your mail while out of town, or call the postal service for temporary suspension
