Little Rock's Best Kept Secret
Security CommitteeOtter Creek Security Committee meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, from 7pm to 8pm, in the Clubhouse Ballroom.
Security is paramount in Otter Creek, and education is one of the keys to safety and security for you and your family. Volunteers who serve on the Security Committee meet regularly to discuss factors that promote and maintain the safety and well being of our community. For details, contact the office at 455-2500. The Little Rock Police Department ranks Otter Creek as one of the safest communities in the metropolitan area. Our two entrances and exits, video cameras, street lighting and concerned residents contribute to this top ranking.
Even though Otter Creek has an extremely low crime rate, we are not exempt from occasional unlawful activity. As residents, here are a few ways we can protect our neighborhood from unwanted activity:
What is a neighborhood crime watch?
Our security program is actually a community crime prevention program. It is an approach that focuses on residents working together in cooperation with law enforcement to: 1. Watch out for one another’s property to reduce the probability of break-in or other criminal activity.
2. Stay informed by visiting our website and reading the monthly newsletter.
3. To learn to identify suspicious activity and report it to the police at once.
4. To take steps to help increase the level of security of each individual’s home.
Crime can happen in the best of neighborhoods. Fortunately Otter Creek is one of the safest neighborhoods in Little Rock. You can do your part to help keep our neighborhood crime free by volunteering on the security committee. Let’s all work together to keep Otter Creek a safe place to live!
